I've been thru it twice now. It's becoming clear that first timers get a new bearing & race. When/if it goes again, HD will replace the IPCase and Tranny case, as well. Mine was out of [original] warranty this last time (May '09), HD fixed it on their dime; didn't process it thru my extended warranty. Also got a chrome IPCase out of the deal. I've kinda sorta been keeping up on IPB threads but haven't had any problems.....yet on my 06 WG......is this specific to ALL 06 Dynas or cretain serial numbers or production dates? April of 06 is my bikes build date. Now I'm starting to worry lol. I'm thinking I need to quiz my dealers service dept and get a feel for their opinion on this issue as a "just in case" it happens to me.

Secondly, sorta related....is there anywhere on the web a person can see all of HD's recalls? The only thing I've had to deal with is a factory recall on the Wide Glide handlebars......there was a recall due to the bars cracking down by the risers. Other than that I haven't gotten anything in the mail about updates, changes, warranty, replacement, recalls etc etc.

 

It's a Canadian site but I'm sure we get the exact same bikes the US gets.

Counting the one that came in the bike,, I'm getting ready to go for #4.
My extended warranty should cover, again..
However this time I'm grathering all the info I can (thanks pkellyymc and others).
Going to see about the inner primary being replaced this time, not just the bearing.
Maybe even go for the 'Chrome' ( again Thanks pkellymc)... Out side of this being 'ever present' its been a great bike.
And the IPB noise now, doesn't bother me near like the first one did

 

i think its the first prod.modles that have the most probs. mine was built in march-06

and ive got about 12,000 miles no probs yet. but im ready to plead with the moco if it goes.
