Default question on chrome oxidation

I have an 07 FXDB and I have noticed some discoloration with some of the chrome, It is kind white and milky looking, maybe it's oxidation. What would be best to get this off and restore the chrome to original condition? I tried some turtle wax chrome polish and it didn't hep much at all.

Thanks,

jimd

Are ya sure whats oxidizing is chrome? Your trees, levers pedals and some other stuff is polished aluminum and can be brought to chrome like luster with some mothers alum. polish.

I am not a chrome plater, but I've been in the metal finishing business for a long time and have never seen or heard of the condition you've described. I'm with capttawes, sounds like polished aluminum.

Quit spanking your monkey when you see your bike in the garage. I know it's tough but please... control yourself.

A product called FLITZ that comes in a small silver tube works well on most all metal finishes, too. Most auto parts chain stores carry it, but not very cheap, however, a little goes a long way.
