rookie mistake!!! man i learn the hard way..
when tightening the tranny plug after doing my service, i think i may have stripped it....it didnt get as tight as i thought it would have (because it waspretty tight when i firsttook it off)and then bam, it kept turning, and metal shavings were noticable..yes i know, a rookiemistake...well now i know, but what i do need to know is if they make an oversized plug kit or if they make something to rethread the pan (because of course it aluminum)?? thanks for your help....

dont feel too bad. i took mine to the dealer for my 1000 mi service and they did it to mine.
i wonder how many others they stripped out. they replaced my pan on their dime. needless to
say i bought a manual and do my own maintenance now. maybe you can drill and tap it for
a larger plug. or maybe you could get by with putting a heli coil in it. good luck

Had this happen last year on the oil pan on my 94 Low Rider. Cleaned out the metal particles and went to AutoZone and got an expandable rubber drain plug that tightens with a wingnut. Works fine, no leaks. Lost the magnetic feature, but got a flexible magnetic strip that I wrap arond my oil filter. Maybe that works, maybe not. No way to tell.

pull off the case, thread it larger and pop in a new bolt... remember, fluid plugs need only be snug, dont change your plugs while the bike is hot (you will strip those as well), and while fueling up... pay attention to what you are doing not the hot chick next to you, gas showers are not very cool
