Got the Jackyl lift as well .

and like others have stated just go by the miles .

I have Jackyl's 2" lift on my fatbob, and find my gauge more accurate than before. I see full gauge after fill up, and light comes on about 1.5g left. I'm real pleased with it, like the looks, and being able to reach under the tank for cleaning, accessibility, etc.

 

Yeah, my gauge wasn't NASA calibrated to begin with and with my lift installed, it's even worse. Just dedicate on of the two trip odometers for fuel and reset it with each fill up.

 

+1 on Jakyls lift. I used the 2" and never pay attention to the guage.

 

I bought a 2" lift but removed it. My gas gauge shifted up in scale (making reserve bigger) but that's not the reason I removed it. I didn't like how the tank/console vibrated at certain rpms.
