Default slip on mufflers

Ok, I know this has been discussed many times but here it goes again. I'm putting V&H HS slip on mufflers on my 07 Street Bob. No mods to intake at this point. I believe that the FI can adjust enough that a fuel pak or sert is not necessary. Am I correct in this thinking? Of course the dealer says a remap is necessary, they want the $$.

Put them on, ride it and see how it sounds (popping, etc?) and check the plugs to make sure they aren't too white (lean). Most slipons can be run with no other mods but, when I had the straightshots, I did get some popping and went ahead with the rest of stage 1. I've heard mixed results with these particular mufflers though.
