Ape Hanger Question

Ape Hanger Question
I have stock HD mini apes (12 in rise?) mounted on 4 inch risers now. I have run this setup for a few months and like the height and angle as it is now. I want to go to a true ape bar and back to short stock risers (1 1/2 in?) and keep the same grip height and location. My question is: What rise and pullback should I be looking for? I think I would need a 15 in rise, but I don't know the pullback on the stock HD mini apes. Thanks for any help.

RE: Ape Hanger Question
Here are the specs on the stock bars. Don't know what all the risers have done to these.
Look up part #56079-93

RE: Ape Hanger Question
When I changed my bars I was asking the same questions but my main concern was riding comfort. I liked the pullback and the width of the stock bars, I just wanted to go up higher. Here is a profile pic of mine- 16" rise with the stock risers. I have been riding this for a year and I am about to go up a little farther with 4" risers. I think it will look a little better. I got my bars from custom chrome. They are one of the cheapestbars in the book and are not knurled (get knurled, mine slip from time to time.)

RE: Ape Hanger Question
You should knurl them yourself with a 3 corner file. They sell them un-knurled so you can do it yourself in the exact spot you want for custom applications. Running with un-knurled bars is downright dangerous. Not hard at all, just mark with tape and cut diagonally both ways. Maybe some others here have an even slicker way, but either way, get some traction on those puppys.
