Fat Bob front end chatter???
#23
This is an interesting thread... I have a Fat Bob and had no chatter for the first 14,000 miles, at which point I had my wheels powder coated.
At that time I also had the stainless rotors with chrome carriers and chrome tapered wheel spacers installed. Since then I've had the chatter.
I always assumed the new wheel spacers where slightly smaller than the stock ones and the chatter was them vibrating. It's interesting to to hear others with this complaint. I'm up for my 20,000 mile service so I'll check the steering head nut and possible upgrade to heavier fork oil. If that doesn't do it... Next time I need tires the stock wheel spacers are going back on to eliminate that possibility.
