Default Screaming Eagle tire 170/60

A friend brought this Screaming Eagle 170/60 over for me.

This is the tire that is stock on the Screaming Eagle Dyna FXDSECVO machine,
and the Screaming Eagle Road King FLHRSE.

Part # 41998-07

Sticky compound, deep tread looks good,
especially next to the stock Dunlop.

But, it is a Radial, so I am not so sure I can get a radial for the front.

Can anyone enlighten me on the front radials for 19 inch wheels??

mud.........

That is a sweet tire for sure. For those of us that have lowered the bike has anyone had any issues with rubbing on any of the turn signal hardware tucked up in the rear fender? I will be watching this mud cause tires are my next mod. Sorry but in and ask a question on your post.

The HD accessories catalog lists a 19 " Screamin' Eagle front tire #40554-04.

GT502F 100/90-19

Doesn't state whether it is a radial or not.

der question you asked, which I really didn't answer, but rather offered another unsolicited reply whch I thought may possibly relieve your concerns if, in fact you were actually unable to acquire an acceptable front radial tire to mate up to the afore mentioned Screamin Eagle 170/60 that your friend brought over for you, assumingly to mount on the rear of your scoot, in which case it is relatively possible, I anskered your question that you failed to ask, but wish you had, so I might have the astute previledge of answering the question for you that you forgot to ask, in the first place, being can you mix a front biased tire with a rear radial in which case the correc answer would be "yes you can" probably do that without risk to life or limb.

Good luck with the 170/60 radial

Mine's lowered .6" and I'm now running the SE 180 - see below. I didn't buy the wide tire kit but I do have all of the detachable sideplate hardware, blah, blah, blah. Rode it home from the indy on Saturday, checked the wiring just to be sure yesterday and it's all good and I don't see anywhere that rubbing can occur.

Mud-If you check the J&P website, on radial tires, it says you cannot put a radial tire on the front of a "big twin". I don't know why. Everybody else that sells them says it's O.K. I will be watching what you come up with.

Mud- the only Dunlop front radials I am seeing on their site fo a 19" wheel is the D208 ZR 120/70ZR/19, but it needs a 3" rim.

All the other model Harleys I see with a rear radial are using a biased ply on the front.

NO ONE makes a radial in a 100/90-19 profile. The construction of a radial requiresan aspect ratio along the lines of a 120/70 or similar proportions.

Most vendors say you can mix a rear radial and a front bias, but I haven't done so.
