Thanks to Rene and Pockets2000 I've been able to compile a list of just the parts you would need to put these footboards on your bike without the forward shifter assembly and related hardware. This is what you'd need for only the flootboards and the brake pedal assembly, and using the existing mid-mount shifter.

Items from J01921:
3 Socket head cap screw, self tapping (8) 3214

18 Assembly, right front footboard 50521-01
19 Right rear footboard support 50526-01
20 Left front footboard support 50529-01
21 Left rear footboard support 50530-01
22 Assembly, footboard (2) 50632-85
23 Shoulder bolt, 1/4-20 x 1 (4) 50635-82A

29 Lockwasher, 3/8" (8) 7045

31 Flange nut, 1/4-20 (4) 7716
Updated items from 2003 FXDP manual (needed because of updated brake pedal design):
1 Cotter pin 515

3 Screw, 3/8-16 X 1 Torx 4059
4 Washer, 1/4" 6099

6 Washer, 7/16" 6516HW
7 Washer, 3/8 X 13/16 X 1/16 (2) 6701

9 Hex jam nut, 5/16-24 7744
10 LOCKNUT 7/16-14 X 21/64 X 5/8 hex 7827W

14 SHAFT, pivot 33689-02
15 BUSHING, flanged (2) 33703-01
16 Assembly, Brake pedal 33711-02
17 WASHER, spring wave 34641-01

26 Linkage, rear brake push rod 41954-01

29 Pad, brake pedal 42416-83

31 Clevis pin 42460-80B

38 Fitting, grease 50972-75

Not listed in either:
Pad, footboard (2) 50614-91A

For what it is worth - I don't think you need the footboard pads. The 50632-85 footboard assembly I ordered came with the rubber pad. Check with your local parts guy.

I am planning to make a shifter bracket this winter. Plan to make it as factory looking as possible. It will bolt to the front footboard bracket and have a support rib on the back side. It will be powder coated black to match the other parts. I will post pictures and specs when I am done. Have a model of the part made - just need to do a mock up to be sure it works well then build the real deal.

I figured the footboards probably came with the pads, but I just sent the parts gal at Zanotti an e-mail asking her to check.

Total for all the parts on my list shipped from Zanotti is about $465.

I just got an e-mail from Zanotti. The 50632-85 footboard assembly does not come with the pad installed. You have to order the rubber pad separately.

I just ordered all the individual parts from Zanotti to put these on without the forward shifter. I'll be using the existing mid mount shifter, or an extended shifter mounted to the mid mount shaft.

Here's the list of parts needed and the prices. Total isn't too bad when you consider what the HD chrome forward controls list for.

If ordering new, you might consider the newer style 06+ pads. Also the brake pad changed in 06+

Just saying, for those of you with 06+ Dyna Bikes it might be more correct..

Most of you will probably go for the Billet, Skull, Flame, Diamond Plate, etc. for your inserts, pads, and shifter pegs.
I'm not really interested in "style" when it comes to rubber foot pads. This is one area where I want maximum function.
