You will not find any of the parts needed on the Harley web site. You will have to get a parts guy to look them up for you. You will need to get 1 softail footboard, the shifter kit from eglidegoodies, and the items to make the linkage.

You can find the prices in the Lake Shore H-D database (www.LSHD1.com) and the Zanotti database (www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/pLookUp.php)

To Pockets2000, did you have any dimensions for that bracket? I'm thinking of having something like that machined, or at least get some prices on getting one or some made. Thanks Michael Whalen

What do you guys think about cutting the OEM shifter in half and extending it to 12 or 13 inches then sending it in to get rechromed (not sure what chroming costs).....would the far length require to high of a shift that is uncomfortable or too long of a downshift that the floorboard will be in the way....I just put my boards on...will post pics soon!
Still snow here so can't ride, but the 9 inch shifter feels too tight on the boards...
then again...if pockets comes up with the plan...then

Dont wait for me to come up with a plan. I put on the shifter kit from EGLIDEGOODIES and am very happy with the results. Pictures are posted here. I especially like the fact that you get full use of the footboard - no shifters taking room away from you. The installation I did is very clean ande factory looking - which is what I was after. I really dont plan anything further on this.

Michael - the kit from eglidegoodies.com is 199.99. This includes 3 billet aluminum machined shifter arms polished to a show level quality- the brackets and the ends you would need to put this together. You cannot have this machined elsewhere for any less - unless you can do the machine work yourself or have a very good freind to do it for you. It would take a lot of time to dimension out the parts involved to try to remake them. If i get some time i will give some dimensions for this. However as can be seen by the part posting price is about the same as buying all the parts from the original kit - soooooooooooooooo what cha waitin for. This is a very easy to do and clean installation for this.

I meant the original bracket you were designing, If the e-glide kit would bolt on to the FXDP brackets, I would have it ordered when you got yours!!

Not planning to do anything further with this at this time. Like I said I am very happy with the outcome of the way I went. The eglide shifter is very easy to installl. The plate is 1/8 in aluminum stock. Very easy for even a novice to make. And the biggest bonus is the entire footboard is open for your foot. That is what this shifter was designed for. If you would like to run with this bracket idea feel free. The dimensions needed to make it are posted earlier in this thread.

PS the only change you have to make is a 50.00 footboard and a 5.00 plate to install this kit. Very easy install and very clean.
