I swapped out the stock FXDF saddle for a solo seat, and I removed the reflectors from both the fork sliders and the fender struts.

I likes it. I'd find a place in back for the tape, too. With the way the bike is right now, maybe the swing arm? Or a thin strip on the side of the license plate holder, although didn't you mention going witha side plate??

That exposed rear fender looks Sharp. I removed my seat this weekend to facilitate removing the gas tank for another mod. I noticed 3 or 4rubber mounts on the fender. What did you do to remove them without damaging the paint?

Good idea. I'll do exactly that after I clean off the swingarm. I was concerned about the heat from the pipe destroying the sticker, but I'll never know until I give it a show.

The side-mount plate is still in my mind, but I'm looking for the right parts.

They just peeled right off and didn't leave any residue. I was surprised at how easily they came off.

Hey Stagolee, I did the same w/the reflectors on my Vivid Black FXDF. Cleaner look. I hadn't considered the reflective tape. I take it the Slotted heat shields won't work w/the Thunderheader. How do you like the Thunderheader. I've been thinking about a black one.

 

That reflective tape looks good. Too bad my lowers are chrome. [:@]I gues I could put some tape on the front down tubes. Where did you get the tape from?

 

Looks good, Is that the Arlen Ness Air cleaner cover? I just had the hight flow race tuner and pipes put on mine but couldn't find a cover I liked.
