fuel injector changes on 06s

RE: fuel injector changes on 06s
I live about 50 miles phrom my dealership, and in a whole different town.
I've bought 2 bikes phrom them, and I am in there 5 or 6 times a year, but they know me there.
They recognize me, and they recognize the bike. I get respect there because I am an informed shopper. I know what I want when I go in there, and I've even been able to inform the service guys of some stuff coming down the pipe before they hear it.
In phact, I'm the one who told them about the tranny recall!
Told them about this injector TSB also. They looked into it, but really aren't informed enough yet to know whether or not my bike needs it. Gunna talk to them again tomorrow.

RE: fuel injector changes on 06s
Wow, Just found this site after picking up new 06 FXD with stage 1 breather, slipons and dealer remap last week. Although I only have about 50 breakin miles on mine so far " running up and down thru the gears I've not seen any of the posted problems yet. And yes my bike has the old injectors, it was made in late jan 06. That said my 02 dyna with SE breather and pipes and a yost kit in the carb seemed stronger. But then again it was broke in and had a tach which I used. I wont crack this one near as hard for a few more hundred miles.

RE: fuel injector changes on 06s
injectors fitted yesterday they had a problem with the download on the road test the engine management light came on at 45-50 mph
when checked there was a fuel problem the british bikes don,t have 02 sensors fitted so they, ve mapped it with another setting, test drive was posotive this time. its still a trial &error thing mines the guinea pig i reckon.on the ride home i noticed that the bike pulled better in the lower revs range.it was also recomended that i don,t go to stage 1 till i,ve done about 1500 miles the engine still tight

Gentlemen, (& of course Ladies)
Thank you for this valueble information.
If the new bob starts "playing up", I will show the dealer this bullitin.
One question, does this problem only manifest itself when the tempreasure is low ?
I`ve only done 130 miles on my BOB but it `s already coughed & splutered once although the tempreasure was only just above freezing.
Its still winter in England.
