Default The Perfect Emergency Fuel Can?

Ya think?

This would fit nicely in my saddle roll. 24 ounces might get you to the next gas station. Are there strange properties of aluminum that would screw up the gas? I turned the can upside down and left it for hours with fuel in it and it doesn't leak.

Opinions???

Not that I'm aware of, unless it was something lining the tank.
I've had a aluminum fuel cell(tank) in the truck for over 10 years and no problems with the gas(either premium or race gas) and the aluminum.
Now if there is some sort of gasket, that and the gasoline may be a problem.

That's a great idea. I have used one liter fuel bottles for camp stove fuel on canoe trips for years. Think I'll dig them out and put gas in them. Leave that sucker upside down for a couple of days just to make sure. Thanks for the tip.

Ride Safe.

Thats a great idea Scott. Not too big to carry and just enough to get ya to the pump!
The way gas is going up I can't help but think of Mad Max movies....[&:]

Hopefully there is some sort of vent, say going to 90 degress when you filled it in the cool 60 deg
morning gas stop

MSR stuff is awesome. I've owned one of their stoves that burns gasoline and several fuel bottles for over 20 years. Great for back packing, camping, and riding.

Would laugh if some kid went through your stuff when you weren't looking and decided you didn't really need that can of energy drink. Especially if the little punk also had taken up the despicable habit of smoking tobacco.........[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=loser.gif]
