Default H-D lowering shocks

i got a question for all streetbob owners, i recently got a set of the H-D lowering shocks and i was wondering if i should stick with those or go to the progressive 412 ones.

I'm not going to try and answer this in all three threads, but the 412 are supposed to be better shocks then stock.Probably better then the lowering shocks too.

How much lower then the stock 25.8 in. do you hope to go?

yeah, she's great. she was the one who told me that when the street bob came out, "thats the bike for you".So with that i went and put the deposit on the black denim.

I just went around with the same thing on my '04 Superglide. Be sure that the length you want is available, stock on my bike is 12.5", I had my OEM shock springs cut down to 11.5" and want to replace them with Progressive 11.5" 412's, Progressive does not make an 11.5" 412, it's either 11" or 12". Go too low and the ride will suffer, but the bike will look sort of slammed with the lower shocks. My only choice in Progressives is the 418's or the 440's, both are about $380.00/pair, a good $150.00 more than the 412's, but they are a better shock. Whether their worth the extra $$$ for my style of riding is up in the air.

Best recommendation is to make sure you have the stock length shock measurement and then see what else is available that is close w/o going too low and giving up ride quality.
