Default Low Rider Battery cover hurts

Hey guys, before I go and fabricate something I thought I'd ask if you know if they make anything for this little problem. My wifes low rider has a corbin gunslinger seat and she is complaining about the corner of the battery cover poking her in the leg. Got anything?????

Hmmmm, What year bike?
I just installed a aftermarket battery cover, and the corners on it are much more rounded than the stock cover, but my leg does'nt go anywhere near it.[sm=confused06.gif].

I could see this being a legitimate problem with shorter legs!

I installed a pair of Kuryakyn offset extensions to get more length, but they also made my sitting stance wider. Worked to get my legs off the horn and a/c. Something similar might work to get her off the battery cover.

The stock cover has flat sides and failrlysharp edges (I used to have that one). You could switch to the other one from the catalogue like I have now which has smooth, rounded edges (part #66192-99).I changed it because I didn't like the flat sided one, butlike 96 Wide Glide said, my leg doesn't go near it.

It's in the Harley accessories book. Maybe there's a way you could put some padding over it while riding, like a soft terrycloth small towel in black that can be removed whenever you want. Cheap solution always better than replacing entire pieces IMHO.
