Default exhaust gas analyzer with powercomander III

A buddy of mine has purchased an exhaust gas analyzer for what reason, I am not sure espically at 1500.00 but hey works for me. What I have been doing is playing around with it. Insert the probe into the exhaust, hook up the laptop to the power commander, get the map and then start the bike, turn on the analyzer and watch the numbers. It was interesting. The perfect AFR is 14.66 which on the analyzer reads as AFR and also as Lamba 1.00. Now I realize this is not what the bike should run at, most say 14.00 or so, meaning the bike runs a bit rich. Well when we first started it up and got it warm the reading was 15.23 or so AFR, so I then got to the power commander software on the laptop and just adjusted the enrichments up a bit tell it was around 14.00 at the idle, then moved up the RPM range watch the throttle percentage and at each interval adjusted the AFR to read 14.00 or so. What I found was that at the higher RPM range it was running rich, AFR was reading 12.00 or a bit lower, soI adjusted this just a bit. Now I realize that I really need to do this by taking it out and putting it under a load. The other thing I am looking at is the map I have currently loaded is only a single cyclinder, in other words it adjusts both cylinders the same and I know this is not right considering the rear one runs a bit hotter, so I will be loading a new map with both cylinders shown, then taking it out for a ride, recording all info and then adjusting the AFR from there to see what happens. I will say this, the stock settings from the factory are just way to lean! Anyways just something interesting I thought I would share with you all.
I do realize that a dyno run should also be able to do this, but doing what I am is free and well I feel I am learning something new.
Any comments are welcomed.
