Wow! just got home from a weekend down in S Florida. Thanks for all the responses and now I feel better. It is definitely the motor ticking, sounds like it is in the top. I do also hear the tinging of my keychain now I clip to on of the wires hanging around the stearing tube. That noise is now gone. I'll check for any loose parts that you all posted but I'm pretty sure it's the motor. First Harley for me so after owening four sport bikes just not sure what is normal and what is not. I'm learning.

Ticking went away with pipes. i have potential valve train noise and there may be a rattle, or it could be a ....

the wife heard a ticking.... she stoped several times thought somthing was terrible wrong.. i got on it and road the **** out of it... when she got on it again she look down and it was a button on her shirt hitting the gas tank....lol
