Thanks travaler, I was not aware of the extent of the 06 upgrades.....nice!

I agree with you on the build it your way idea, but to black everything out on your own is kinda costly isnt it?

That article missed a few additional upgrades. The Heads flow a good deal more....10-13 percent or so, intake port redesigned for greater velocity and the valvetrain is lighter.

One thing that I like about the Bob is for $1000 more then the standard glide, you get spoked rims and a nice comprehensive custom look that was well designed and appointed. Certainly a case of where an eye for detail and art merged from the design house.

A blank canvas is awesome too but is much heavier on the wallet these days.

Is this a common choice for people ?

I got down to these two models as well and then weighed up:

6 speed box, better EFI, stronger front end and a preference for the 19 inch tyre on 06 Street Bob

200mm rear tyre (very cool) additional cost and 21 inch front on the 06 Night Train.

The Bob won out in the end (60 more sleeps away!)

cheers

Your caps lock is on.

I believe that most companies are still working on aftermarket exhaust systems. You could change just your mufflers, and if you leave the intake alone, you won't need a re-tune.

I'd go with the Street Bob. It's got a 6 speed, looks, etc. and there are not as many of those on the street yet.
Need to ride both before you decide since they will ride different.

Just my $0.02.

Not that many on the street? Man, I haven't been back to the states in a long time, but if this forum is any indication..... I'd say that there's quite a few on the streets.
