I have a 96" and am getting right at 40mpg. Mostly non-highway miles. My setup is below.

35 or so normal around town driving. Totally stock setup which should be the best MPG (leanest you can be). I've seen people claiming 50+ here which I claim is bull dung.

40 - 43 on the highway in warm weather with the windshield off. Cold weather/highway/no windshield -- a tad over 36.

Any weather on the back roads about 36.
Windshield takes about 4 mpg off in any weather.

I have no idea and plan to keep it that way. When the light comes on, I feed it more. All I know is it's a damn sight more fun and better on gas than my Dodge Ram Hemi V8.

I get about 50 mpg on my commute, which is a combination of great country roads and a bit of highway. I rode down I-85 to Atlanta once last year and got even higher. Running stock.
