Default New to HD Forum and HD Motorcycles

Greetings from Southern California,

I am currently looking at the 2008 FXDL Low Rider 105th Anniversary and receiving out-the-door quotes between $18,585 - $20,000 with no additional accessories fromthefollowing dealers: Anheim-Fullerton, Los Angeles, and Wesminster. Two questions come to mind, 1. Is this a good deal and 2. Which of these dealers should I do business with?

Any thoughts, suggestions and/or ideas would be nice.

Regards,

MilitaryMike

Ps. Just returned from Kuwait- do you know if HD supports returning veterans?

Welcome home! Glad you made it safe and sound. As far as those prices, that sounds really high to me. I'm a newbie too, but isn't the MSRP on the 105th Anny LowRiders like $16k or something?

Should have bought through AAFES while you were deployed. I bought my two-tone black/orange whileI was deployed just picked it up in Mar and I paid $14998.

Yea I know, but Military Sales did not have the one I wanted in their inventory. They (Military Sales) told me to check with HD to see if they would offer the same discount state-side. The three dealerships that I mentioned in my email did not offer such a discount or have never heard of the Military Sales program offered by HD.

Regards,

MilitaryMike

Mike if they didn't have the bike they should have allowed you to order it from the factory like I did.

I placed my order in Oct 07 while I was deployed, the bike was built in Feb 08 and delivered Mar 08. If they didn't have one in the inventory they should have allowed to place an order like I did.

Anyways thats in the past so it cant be changed. Welcome home brother and the price does seem steep but like blade said I dont live in Cali either. Always, always shop around. HD's are independently owned and I have seen big diff in prices from one to another. Dont settle for something thats not exactly what you want!!!

Well live and learn...it would have beendefinitely a great deal if I wasallowed to order the bike I wantedeven if they did nothave it in their stock. I was told that HD only allowed MS to promote certain HD motorcycles.

Like I said, live and learn.
