I can't say from experience. And it probably differs based on the rider and the rider's style. Probably can't go wrong with any of them. Perhaps he could arrange some sort of swap out rental with a dealer where he could pay rental on 1 bike for a day or two and swap them out and try several models.
Not trying to start anything or dis anyone but I've always heard that the WG handles just a wee bet less as well as the others because of the front end rake. I've seen that in posts before and it was said based on handling in aggressive riding conditions like hard cornering, etc. I'm sure it holds it's own, however.

The only way he's going to be able to tell is to be able to ride a few different ones and see. I've never personally driven any of the other Dyna's, just sat on them for feel when I was shopping. Ended up with a Fat Bob and it handles extremely well. Very well balanced, lots of power esp with the Stage I download. I don't know that you can go wrong with any of them. It's a matter of how the bike feels beneath you and only you can be the judge of that.
