Default primary chain tensioner

Pulling into the garage tonight I popped the clutch a little more than usual and noticed a clank as the primary chain engaged. I thought the new bikes (mines an 07 WG) came with a primary chain tensioner. Am I wrong? I've had other harleys over the years and some did this worse than others, usually depending on how smooth I was with the clutch lever, but I thought the factory had addressed that with the new 96" motor. Can I get a witness?

Default RE: primary chain tensioner

Normal. I've found the system on my softail to have a ton of lash in it.
