07 fxdb Fork oil change

RE: 07 fxdb Fork oil change
My service dpt changed mine out on Bob, no drain plug per say but they only charged me an hr labor. Seems you can use the srews in the bottom of the forks to drain if done right.
Acording to them they took off wheel, lft top caps on to keep preasure on the threads and let the oil drain, replaced bottom bolts n crsh washers, THEN uncapped the top and replaced the oil, I went from what was 5wt (if Im right on stock oil) to screaming eagle heavy duty, made a tremendious diference.
Anyone else familiar with this method? I had another HD dealer tell me 2 hrs labor to do it the other way and said it was the only way to do it. I like my service dpt, guys arent stingy on info, and I let them do most of what I dont feel like or know how to do.

I do not know ofa reason as to why it would not work that way. I know when I changed out my stock sliders for chrome ones the right leg was slowly leaking and I had to add teflon tape to stop it. When I pulled out the bolt boy did the oil come out a running. [:@]Had to jam a finger in it and then with one hand wrap teflon tape around the bolt. [8D]
