Default Anybody have to replace upper motor mount?

I've had a mystery chirping noise that I have been trying to track down since I bought this bike 2 months ago and I think I have finaly tracked it down to the upper motor mount. Dealer has a replacement tortion bar w/ the pressed in bushings for 40 bucks. Before I drop 40 bucks on it, I was curious if anyone else has had to go this route before?

Nice to know I'm not alone... not sure if I want to spend 40 bucks for something that may or may not do the trick!! Hoping someone else had already been down this road and could lend some advice... If I find out that someone else has had this happen, then HOT DAMN!!, the money is getting spent!! It makes me feel like Inspector Clouseau's old boss, Chief Inspector Dreyfuss, when his eye would twitch and the uncontrollable giggle would start... SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!

Dyna07, what was it doing to make you take it in? Mine is a chirping type noise at the mid to high rpm range in each gear. Unfortunately, it falls right at freeway cruising speed, which makes me INSANE!!

Mine did that to . The two 9/16 bolts were loose. They are on the left side , one on each jug . Its part of the mount also has horn on it . This made me crazy on a 4000 mi road trip . Did not make noise on kick stand. Got home pull tank and found it was loose . No need to pull tank if this is this problem . Top is tab on frame to that torsion bar w/ the pressed in bushings . Check bolts first easy fix . All you need is 9/16 wrench .

That was the first thing I did as well, took them all the way out, checked em' and put em' back nice and snug, noise still there... last night I lifted rear of the tank up and squirted some wd40 on the bushings of the tortion bar, test rode just now, noise is quieter, but still there. At my wits end!!
