Okay, be honest... Does this look stupid? I had another thread going about how I hate adding crap to my bike, but I need to so we can do short trips pretty soon. The first thing I added was this luggage rack, which required me to take off the layback license plate bracket and put on a standup type (at least I got a chrome one, I guess.)

At first, I thought this looked ridiculous. Now I'm thinking it's "okay." What do you guys think?

PS - This is also the first picture I've taken with the chrome dash installed. I think that looks awesome and I'm very, very please with it. I also tied up alot of visible wires, attached the fork bag with zip ties instead of the long dangling leather shoelace things, washed and waxed the bike, etc...

I think it looks pretty good. The rear fender maintains its shape but you get some functionality out of the space behind the seat. I say keep it.

Looks good Sarge! I think that luggage rack doesn't take away from the line of the bike at all... maybe even lengthens it a bit! Either way, your bike looks like the *****!

Hey man, give me time. I'm too busy messing with the bike and riding to deal with those weeds. Geeeeez, give a guy a break.

Cool man, THANKS! I'm going to get a taller sissy bar next and a roll bag for the rack. I may just leave the roll bag on there all the time for around town and get a bigger bag for any short trips we take together. I think I may like the look with a small/med roll bag on there better than the rack with no bag.

Nope, looks good. Sometimes changes take some getting used to. If you've gotta have a rack, you couldn't ask for it to look any better.

I put a 4.5 headlight on my bike and everyone said I should have gone bigger. Still, I liked it. Just changed it to a 5 3/4" to offset some other issues and my first reaction was how ridiculous that bulbous headlight looked. After a couple of double takes, it grew on me though and I like it.

Good idea. I picked up a cheap leather roll bag on ebay and it's the first thing I strap on anytime Iroll with my big seat and sissy bar with luggage rack. At least that indicates the purpose for it being there right? And, it's handy for keeping some rain pants, a light jacket, and such in.
