Default Bad wreck

Monday April 14th will certainly be a memorable day for me for the rest of my life. While on a ride good friend and riding buddy went off the road and messed himself up real good. It is a blind curve that is on top of a hill and it was getting to be late in the evening and honestly he was going to fast for the curve. He tried to get out of it but it was to late. He caught some gravel on the shoulder and it kicked him down in the ditch. He hit a sign on the way down. After I got through the curve I noticed that he wasnt behind me and I turned around. I didnt see him and thought that he was still at the house we just left. Needless to say I found him in the ditch all busted up. He was awake and knew his leg and shoulder were bad. He was airlifted to the hospital then airlifted to another one that could deal with his injuries better.

He is the luckiest person to be alive right now. Injuries were Broken left femur, stretched and torn nerves in the left shoulder and a destroyed midlle finger.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he gets well soon.

Let's be safe folks.

Let's all ride within our capabilities and in respect to the conditions.

I was in the military for 4 yrs as a cop and I've been a federal officer for 5 yrs now and I have seen some real chitty things, but nothing ever has kicked me in the gut as bad as riding up and seeing my buddies bike splayed across the ditch and then looking down and seeing him covered in blood.

GUYS PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen. My prayers are with your friend. Running off the road in a curve is one of the major causes of wrecks, and it's one that can usually be avoided by riding within your limits (and your bike's).
