How many street bob owners wished they bought a Wide Glide?

RE: How many street bob owners wished they bought a Wide Glide?
I was riding a Triumph less than a year ago.
Stopped by my local Harley Dealership for some reason or other, and saw the Street Bob.
Out of all the bikes they had on the floor, the Street Bob is the one that caught my eye.
It wasn't the blacked out look that caught my attention, it was the rear fender that I liked so much.
It wasat that moment, my decision was made to seek a new bike. I was hooked on that "retro" look. I've had many bikes in the past that had the flared out rear fender, it was just time for a change for me, finally something different.
By the way, I ended up with an FXD, started with a clean slate... I'm getting closer to finishing up, for now...

Is that a real bike or a toy model in the foreground?

Yeah I eat street bobs for breakfast! I'm with ya on that! I don't care for the look of the Bob and I'm more old school I guess and like the chopper style and ride and chorme look!

Which one? I'm thinking that's going to be my next bike but I can't decide which I like better the classic cafe racer Thruxton or the bad *** street fighter Speed triple. In any case I'll still not be getting rid of my Bob I've just got so much money into it it doesn't make sense to sell it or trade it in.

I had a Sprint model, a triple. It was a fun bike, but after 3-4 hours, it was a killer on my back and my arms would go numb.
The herniated disks in my back probably didn't help matters much either.
I guess I'm not as young asI thought I once was...

Thanks, I always wanted a Bonneville when I was growing up but I never found one in decent shape that I could afford. They're sort of rare even today as the nearest Triumph shop is well over 100 miles away.I saw a nice looking 02 for around 3K, damn, I wish this real estate market would turn around.

My brother in law just bought a 2008 Wide Glide, and that is one sweet ride. But I think the trend is toward the blacked out, rugged look rather than the chrome, chopper look which is why theFat Bob is taking the Wide Glide's place. Plus, the Softail Custom is so similar, I bet they have a hard time selling both.I told the bro-in-law that he made a good choice getting the WG, especially since he's a big guy (6'4, 240 or so).
