I like it, except the tail section needs to becut down someand it ought to have highpipes on the left side. I bet you'll see both mods done right away after it hits the streets.

I think it could use a few styling tweaks, such as high mount/scrambler style exhaust. But thats what aftermarket is for.
Check out what Storz does with 1200 Sportsters. It ain't cheap, but the appearance is truer tothe XR750 heritage.

The XR750 is the most substantial bike H-D ever built, That thing is still competitive today on flat tracks against machinery being built today with all the modern technology advantages. The XR defies all and kicks azz even though it's day should of passed years ago.

They are not trying to copy the metrics with the tail section, they just messed up re-designing it to todays looks ( they should of just bolted the original one on...)

mudpuddle, I raise my frosty mug and salute the crusty ole bastards who keep the heritage alive and those who know the difference becuase of people like you..you are a true enthusiast...

By the way, if you guys have the opportunity to check out a flat track race in your area, there is an eighteen year old girl that is pushing most of the boys around by the name of Nichole Chesa #16X I've been watching her fly around our horse tracks since she was 16 and her dad must be so proud!!!! This is just one of the things that keeps flat track interesting. I gotta say though , I am a little shocked by how few harleys are in the parking lot when there are seas of the metrics there.... most "bikers" don't even know these races exist on Bike week becuase they are too busy sitting in traffic trying to look cool.....shame. P.S. sign me up for the XR I can modify it....
