What grain paper? Sounds like a fun project. I had no idea they had wrinkle black in a can. What do they put in it to get the texture, I wonder???

I think it's just really old phlat black. LOL

I don't know what makes it wrinkle, but heat helps speed it up.

I used 300 grit to sand it down, basically just scuff it, you could probably go a little bit rougher.

320 grit. It's either a chemical reaction, or there are 2 parts to the paint with different drying rates. It's speeded by heating, or even cooling, after spraying. I put a coat of primer before using the wrinkle on non-engine parts.

I like the black horn cover myself for my BOB, also thinking about losing both belt guards, what do you guys think about that?

The lack of belt guards does look better, I took mine off to see how they looked.
