Default Street Bob Dash

Can any one tell me where to get a chrome dash panel for a Street Bob?

I Don't like the Custom or Lowrider one's.

Thanks:

Never seen one for sale. Easiest thing is to remove yours, than have it stripped and chromed. That's my plan for next winter.

They are definitly not for sale, I looked for months. Finally bought a stock on E-Bay and took it to my local plater. He charged me $67 (would have been $70 but I was three bucks short). It looks great and really stands out next to a stock Bob.

If you're intrested in doing the same thing, I have my original Dash and might be willing to sell it to you. PM me with an offer, Payment through PayPal and we'll see if we can make it happen.

That looks great!!! Any tips to doing the job? Maybe something I'd like to try. Never liked the location of the ignition on my Bob.

Limey On the " to buy list"

Dr Thanks much appreciated

USMC I followed a detailed writeup for the mod that was provided by forum member Walterwindbag, along with input form Psycho and many other members.I tried to get you links but search is currently not working.

A few tips: if you don't have a drill press, consider having a local machine shop drill the hole in the dash.
Disconnect the ignition cable connectorbefore attempting to fish the wires through the frame neck.
You'll need to add wire to reach the new switch; I used wireless terminals and covered with heat shrink to prevent coming undone.
Pick up a few new sealing washers from your dealer for when you attach your mounting plate to the tank bulk head. Make sure they give you the correct ones

If you have any other questions if you go ahead with it just let me know.

Thanks for all your posts, & the job you have done on yours Keeg is out of this world.

I guess the answer is to have mine chromed.

Thanks Again:
