Default How to shorten the reach to wide Glide forward controls?

Is anyone aware of products available to shorten the reach to the forward contols of the late model Dyna Wide Glides? I'd like them back about 2 inches. It seems the Wide Glides are patterned for someone 6' and taller. I'm at 5' 10".
Any help would be appreciated.

Good question I'm wondering myself. Some fatterpegs like Kuryakyn iso pegs will get you about an inch. I'm pretty sure the Wide Glide comes with the skinny HD rubber pegs.

Only thing I can think of is a seat made to move you forward. Most manufacturers make them.

My OL rides a Low RIder which she put forward controls on. She needed to stretch to reach the pegs. We purchased a Corbin Close Gunfighter seat for her, which moved her forward about 2 inches. She's good to go now.

If you are riding a late model Wideglide that still has the stock “Tour seat” installed then you might try looking for a seat that will move you forward and lower. As for moving the forward controls farther back, it may be possible but I have never seen a kit to move the controls to the rear by only a few inches. All of the kits that I have seen are designed to move the controls forward by a few inches. If you can not find a ready made solution then a custom fabricator could possibly build or modify the brackets, linkages, and etc. but that could end up being an expensive fix. I think that I would try a different seat first and see if that would work.

Good luck with it.

I think it would take a bucket load of cash to set up a WG to install mids.

Thanks for the replies. The seat option might be the answer. I really like the Dyna Wide Glide over the Softtail Custom but I have to admit that the Custom's forward controls are at just the right reach for my inseam.

i found a piece of 1/8' thick leather and stuffed it in the gap on under side of peg mount. didn't bring it back 2 inches but it did help allot. probably about an inch at the tipof the peg.I'm 5'9'
