Began dismantling my narrow glide this afternoon

Got it back on the road this evening!
Alright fellas ... got it all buttoned back up for the time being.
It looks pretty "RAT" for now ... it's just an intermediate phase, but I was able to take it out on the road this evening--even though conditions were less than ideal, a bit of a drizzle and the roads were pretty wet.
I don't have a fender for it just yet; I bought a Heritage vivid black fender with burgundy and gold pinstripe on fleabay (it should go with the script on my tank, I think, if not, close enough for government Work). It should be here by the end of the week I hope.
I don't have tins or a nacelle on it for now ... I plan on adding one or the other in a few weeks.
I rattle-canned the upper sliders flat black 1200 degree Rustoleum--enhances the RAT cred.
Looks bad @ss without fender and the fat 16" x 3.5" meat on the front; but, riding w/o a fender in wet conditions $ucks!! If looks are your only consideration, I say go for it ....
I know what y'all will be saying as soon as I hit "Submit Reply" on this ... "This thread is worthless without pics!" (LOL!) I'll see if I can get one of my shipmates to get a photo for me tomorrow (come to think of it, the Section Leader, SKC(SW) Meng has a pretty good digital camera) ... hopefully should have some photos up within about 24 to 48 hrs.

p.s. feels good to be back on two wheels ... even in the rain!!!
