Default Sissy bar, luggage rack Suggestions Anyone?

So, last weekend the wife and I actually found a friend to watch our daughter so we could go out for a ride together. It's been difficult, seeing as how I'm in the military, and our family is all on the East Coast of the US.

We ended up going for a 100 mile ride with another couple. Needless to say, my wife LOVED it! Now, she's got me looking at sissy bars, racks, etc. I used to hate the look of all of this on a bike, but have been growing to actually like it. Seeing as how we'll, most likely, make many more rides together, I figure she should feel safe and comfortable back there ;-)

I've been looking at the HD detachable stuff (I want to be able to take it off, if I'm just cruising alone), along with there low sissy bar. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey bro, I just went through the same thing and ended up having an HD Detachable backrest put on. I'm going to look into the luggage rack that mounts on the backrest as well. I have to tell you, my wife says that having the backrest is like night and day for her. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, but I still prefer the bike without the backrest.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of it just yet...sorry.

Same here. Detachable plates, medium upright and a pad. It's nice to take to 60 seconds to take it off when I want. It doesn't look aweful.

Detachable works great. This way you only have to use it when you are 2up...

I bought the luggage rack off ebay that bolts on the sideplates where the sissy bar bolts thru, saved me about $50. You can tell it's a cheap chinese knockoff but no one else can and it works if you need to carry a tourpak or roll bag back there.

The detachable stuff works great. You can change the configuration in seconds.
