Here's my Fat Bob with the detachables. I didn't need to relocate turn signals but that has to do more with the model than anything else. Easy installation if you've got the right torx wrench so... get to work. I also wanted a backrest for longer trips so I pickedup a Kuryakyn Tombstone bag and couldn't be happier.

I like those Tombstone bags. Great idea. I have to carry a laptop bag in to work everyday, and I'd rather have something that I could leave the bag, and just throw the laptop in. I just ordered some saddlebags, so I may see if that works. It's the only reason I got the backrest, to attach by laptop to.

you need turn signal relocation kit 53968-06as well with detachable plates
I have been looking in to this same set up as well, The problem is when i put the above number into chicago HD's website I get three options
53968-06
53968-06A
53968-06B, Geez they make this easy dont they?

When I put the above number in to Zanotti's website I get the following
53968-06, No part found
53968-06A I get a part result, Turn signal relocation kit
53968-06B I get a part result, Turn signal relocation kit

So, Which one is it?
I reckon if they set out to confuse people they have succeeded
Just give them a call with your year and model they are good about it I think you need 53968-06A

Why the hell doesn't the HD website list this!? They list all the other additional hardware I'm going to need! Sometimes I HATE dealing with them! Sorry, just needed to vent a bit. Buuuut, that sure as hell would have pissed me right the f*ck off, if I got all the crap to do it, and couldn't because of this. Most likely, I'd go down to the dealer and be told that I'd have to wait two weeks for it to come in!

Thanks A LOT for the heads up. GREATLY appreciated...
Just do like others Zanotti,s or Chicago HD you will have them in a few days and the 20% off will handle the shipping

with it on....

and with it off......

I did all HD stuff and installed myself. I wasn't thrilled with the signal kit cause the factory arms were much cleaner looking but I got over it. I love having a luggage rack....

Too funny that you say that...she already does! She's going to a "girl's night out" thing that our dealer is having tonight, with a few of my buddy's wives. I put my list together, for her (10% off EVERYTHING [except bikes for them tonight]), and when I came in from a smoke, she was looking ALL over HD's website. I figured she was looking at clothes or something, but no; She was looking at the bikes!!!! I couldn't believe it! She wants a 1200 Low in cherry red, or a Nightster in orange/black! So, I asked her what she was doing (being a smart ***), and she says to me, "So, why do you need a sissy bar if I'm getting my own bike?" I told her, unless she was getting her bike tonight, she'd still need the bar...

I guess we'll see if she comes home with the bar or the bike tonight!

So, she called, and is coming home with the all the stuff for the bar. Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow...

She did find a bike she likes though. Guess we'll have to see how serious she is about it; going to the MSF class, looking at loans, etc...
