Default Heart Thumping Exhaust!

Heard a Harley pass by my front window last night, with an exhaust note so deep, it nearly rattled my windows! Not terribly loud, just down right deep like a subwoofer. Truly awesome souped up sound.

I didn't get outside fast enough to track him down the street and ask what he was running. Hope I hear him come by again sometime.

Does anyone know what type of pipes he might be running, or any tips to getting any exhaust to a low down note like this?

I really like my Rhinehart, but this sound blew me away.

I'd guess something with Big City thunder baffles inside. They are very deep, but not obnoxiously loud. I love that Rinehart growl when you get into the upper RPM isn lower gears. Would be hard to find a pipe that delivered both.

Well, there's really no way to know for sure... it could be a Thunderheader, it could be Bassani, it could by V&H Pro Pipes... and you could achieve such a deep sound (in most aftermarket performance exhausts) by porting the heads and installing aftermarket cams.

MY guess would be an older carbed bike, probably a Shovel, with lots of engine mods. Cams will do that to a bike. As for pipes, it could be anything.
