Greg - good for you on the install and yes, I have the HDs also and position one does just fine (but ya got me by 50-60 lbs) plus I don't think you'll want it any stiffer by gong to position 2 unless you put on some more weight! LOL! j/k

Good luck and enjoy the new handling - think you'll really appreciate it even if ya gotta be more careful on those pot holes and rail road tracks.

Doubt you need to worry about moving the preload from the lightest setting. I've got eleven inch hd's on mine and have never had a problem on the lightest setting. I weigh 240 and often ride two up.
