Vance & Hines Quiet Baffles
I am going to install the quiet baflles in my Shortshots Staggered. My question is, do I leave the white material that is taped to the quiet baffles on or do I remove it? I'm not sure if it on there to protect the baffle during shipping or if it is the material that helps baffle.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the stupid question.

RE: Vance & Hines Quiet Baffles
I love mine. They are still loud but the tone is deeper. Deep and loud is more tolerable than hi-pitched and loud. But another advantage of them is that the additional back pressure gives me noticably more low end torque.
I got to listen to mine for 5 hours today. Did I mention that I love them. You should also know that I got 2 tickets (loud pipes) with them also over the past 6 months. Both were dismissed without a fine.
Oh, and leave the fiberglass packing on.
For the first 300 miles you run them (and the fiberglass breaks in) you'll smell buttered popcorn! You'll find yerself hankerin for a beer and a movie.

That's what's good and kind of retarded about Virginia. They have a law that covers how loud a car can be but it doesn't state anything for motorcycles. Good for me I guess.
