As lean as the newer bikes are set to run from the MoCo, they're all blue if they have any miles on them.
I don't like it, but it's just the nature of the beast............

It's only normal (Blue) until you tune the Bike .... The Blue is from Heat from being Lean .... Gold is a rich condition .... 3000 miles on these pipes (see Pic ) Don't own a pair of heat Shields.... Tune it... or put up with the popping and discoloration ....

Most of 'em are blue by the time they get 'em tuned. I just got mine dyno'd following baby build and had the exhaust off and saw the blue. Many never do the tune.

Yep ... makes no sence to me too spend all that money on a nice new bike and chrome **** instead of buying a good tuner and haveing it dialed in first ... If it's popping now wait till August...LOL

i thought blueing was normal.
stock pipes with SEII slipons turned blue.
V&H BSS turned blue.

Rinehart 2-2 flush have not blued. The difference is that I added fuel to the 0% throttle positions right away with the Rineharts - before I even started it. Waited a while with the other setups.

PCIII stock maps do not add fuel at 0% throttle. The pipes will burn red hot at idle due to the lean mix. Adding fuel at 0% will make it run cooler.

not sure how to do this with Fuel Pak.

Why would infrequent popping now be worse come August? The setting on the tuner will not change...the pipes and a/c will not change....can you explain further?
