should I switch to a V-ROD

RE: should I switch to a V-ROD
I'm going to suggest another alternative, in addition to my Dyna I have a K1200GT, very fast right out of the box. It's a great sport tourer. If you want something even more sporty, I'll suggest the K1200S, an absolutely awesome bike. Check out this great BMW ad for the K1200S

RE: should I switch to a V-ROD
25 years ago? The mill in the K sport bikes are new and state of the art. The S bike I suggested puts out 167 horses and 96 ft. lbs right out of the box. The V-rod from what we hear used German technology, hence, I thought the BMW would fit right into this discussion. The downside to BMW is the scarcity of dealerships in the USA. However, the couple that I used were very good. This wasn't a big downside for me, as it is, the nearest HD dealer is 100 miles away as well, so it was a wash.

RE: should I switch to a V-ROD
thanks Dad. Can I have my allowance now? LOL. Just looking for opinions. There like ********, everyone has one. There has been some good feedback especially from people who have ridden both and without this discussion some other points would not have caught my attention. But if I asked Mom, she'd probably say no.... Bikes are dangerous you know!

RE: should I switch to a V-ROD
one of my ridding buddies was an A tech for the local dealer for 5 years and was required to test ride every bike he worked on so he's ridden every model they make and then some. his opinion on the V Rod was 'they are good for going fast in a straight line and thats about it' his choice? an 05 carbed Wide Glide.
