changing oil over from the SYN3 to the Mobil 1 v-twin syn are any of ya'll running the same in the primary or should i go with just regular dino oil for the primary.

 

I have V-twin in the engine, Mobil 1 75-90 in the trans, and formula + in the primary.

I put the Mobil 1 V-Twin in the primary also. Helps alot over regular primary fluid. I think RedLine is going in on the next round of changes.

 

i ride a 2006 street bob anduse nothing but syn 3 but am thinking about switchingto either mobil 1 or another brand. any suggestions?

 

I use Mobil1, and it is pretty good. I want to try RedLine or AmsOil the next round. Mobil1 is just easier to get your hands on. Our AmsOil rep comes to bike night at Hooter's every Wednesday, so I may hit him up next time.

i am the same... not happy with the primary at all!!!! way to noisy... i am going to drain it and run amsoil... amsoil is the way to go... but as said above... mobile 1 is easer to get my hands on!

 

Just put Mobil 1 Vtwin in the engine, Mobil 1 75-90 in the trans and Redline MTL in the primary. Pretty smooth, quiet and cooler than the stock stuff...

Hmm I have Mobil 1 15/50 in the motor and primary and thier 75/90 in the trans and as far as I'm concerned it works fine.

 

I run mobil one in primary and engine mobil one 75w90 in trans in all my bikes .I used to run the vtwin in all holes this is the first service I put the gear lube in the trans and it seems to shift better with the gear lube.
