I run M1 V-Twin 20w50 in the crank, Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-140 in the tranny, and HD formula + in the primary.

You can probably run vegetable oil in the primary, but just stay away from the slick "energy saving" motor oils.

Lots of folks run ATF or dino 10w40 motor oil. You just want to keep the chain wet and lubed.

I run amsoil 20/50 in motor and primary and amsoil sever gear in the trans and amsoil , oil filter

i am lucky as one of my brothers owns a bike shop here so i have no proplem getting it .

you really cant beat it .

but he swears by redline .. so next time i change em out I will run that . and see how it goes

he has been trying out this new K and P oil filter . I guess it is a life time filter with better oil flow through the filter.

I have never been soild on a life time filter but seems to be working good on his bikes and the ones he builds .

so i might give that a try but its a lot of coin to drop like 120 to 170 .

later

well got the Mobil v twin in so far so good had the SYN 3 in there and didn't really care for it. i decided to go with the Redline MTL in the primary since i already planned on putting in the
Redline Shockproof heavy in the trans. so I'll run this for know but might try the red line oil for the motor next change. i was running the amsol shock proof but have been hearing better things about the redline so i figured I'd give it a shot. plan on putting over 1200 miles on her this weekend so I'll see how everything holds up and how it rides. thanks for the replies.

use mobil 20w50 in motor 75w90 in primary and trans. or amsoil. all the rest is junk trust me.but you use what you can afford .for trans if you want better, use mobil syn 75-140 racing. is very smooth. if your running 70- 85 miles hr use it.
