shocks are off a suzuki savage... they are 10in hole to hole and drop the rear about a good 2 - 2.5 in...
I was asking about the shocks on your bike Joe - or is that what you were answering?

I love my solo seat. I'd gladly get her a bike if I knew she'd ride it and I could get rid of my couch, I mean 2 up seat, and detachable sissy bar.

Hey Joe, be sure to show her the Yamaha V-Stars when she upgrades. You can pick up a 650, which looks bigger than it is. My neighbor's wife has one, and she absolutely loves it.

I LOVE THIS MOD!!! dropped me about 2 in the back... sits real real low with me on it... love it... when iride 2 up or tour i put in another few pounds of air... real easy with a bike pump

Nicely executed, Joe!
Props to you for helping keep the peace at home.
When you say you changed the gearing, you mean front/rear sprocket?

yes sir...
If she ant a cruiser, more top end, the rear 43/ front 17 that basiclydrops your engine rpms and allows the bike to really get up and run on the highways (they say you can notice a diff in acceloration but we have not noticed any... this or just the 17 in front is a great mod... only $20 bucks!)
If she wants morelow end torque i toss on the46/12 will raise the engine rpms and allow the bike to zip off the line and be real responsive in low gears.
-the total swap takes me about an hour... but i have only done it one time... she loves the 43/17 set up... but to be honest the stock set up was not bad... she just wanted a little more an this gave it to her

Nice bikes JRK. My better half took the MSF course this weekend and is already looking at a XL1200 Custom. But for now she can troll around the neighborhood with my Fat Bob. It's too big for her, but it's helping with her confidence. Beginning to wonder if I started something that will never end...

Joe tell Me about it. As far as she is concerned if it aint a harley she aint riding it. When she had to sell the fatboy I found her a vx800 maurader and turned it to this.

she rode it a about 4 times and then said nope its not a harley don't like it....so I sold it for more than it cost and built the sporty for her.
