When I did the MDA women's ride in Daytona, this little itty bitty chick pulled up beside me on this completely tricked out custom Fat Boy. It had all the bells and whistles including hydraulics that lowered the bike for her so she could get on and off of it easier!!!! She rode that bad boy as well as any man! Don't let size fool you guys. Even the little girls can handle big bikes. I've seen plenty of them.

ooh i agree... she picked this bike out a few years ago and wanted something to start with... it will move and will clip along at 90 on the hwy... she love it... but is about ready to move up to something bigger... we are thinking like a shadow 750... but we will see... she decides what she rides and then i just make it how she wants it... just got a text that she wants to get rid of the bags, and passanger seat to roll solo... she is like us! it never stops!!!

Don't get offended as a female wench. I'm talking about my wife only. She's afraid of kiddy roller coasters and to this day, can't drive a stick shift correctly. It's not her size so much. I'd be saying the same thing if she were 6' tall only because of her disposition towards things fast and thrilling. I just think a decent sized V-twin would intimidate her and that wouldn't be good when trying to ride. Much better to be straddling something that you feel more in control of.

Can't blame her on the bags.

What size and brand shocks are those Joe? Are they progressives and are they Heavy Duty's?

I am buying a set from 07streetbob. They are like new 12" full cover progressives. They are not Heavy Duty and I hope I'm not making a mistake by not going with HD shocks - I weigh 240.

Joe, real nice job on the Virago!! I think it looks more like a Harley, than my SuperGlide.

Both the Virago and Rebels are cool lookin little scoots, and almost always requirethat 2nd look.

shocks are off a suzuki savage... they are 10in hole to hole and drop the rear about a good 2 - 2.5 in... looks cool and she loves being lower... did not mess with the trail at all. i left the front stock gives it pretty nice lines that way. 2007FX your wife would dig this bike... my girl loves having a bike she can move on her own, handle like a top, and still looks right with her on it. I put the bags on for her purse and crap but i guess she is willing to just bring her ID and what not... guess that means i am paying for gas... what else is new! best part of this bike... you can notice that my bob can roll with a solo seat! i HATE how the seat and sissy bar looks on my bike exp now that all work is done to it...
