RE: Sears RED Jack wont work with my FXD
I have the frame adapter kit but I can easily lift my 07 with the red jack without it. It's not quite level but is okay for quick work. Actually, the adapters make it a little more difficult to get the bike on the lift so that isn't the answer. What specifically is the problem? I shouldn't say the adapters make it more difficult - but more cumbersome.

I dont use any adapter either
Mine is lowered, I go in on the brake side, stand the bike up holding the front brake, front jack support side in just in front of the jiffy stand, rear support is on the tranny pan
works really well, I use a strap of some kind if its going to be up for a long time or if Im moving it around the garage a lot.

I have the exact same jack and have no problems lifting my lowered 06 Bob.However if you want it to sit perfectly level you might want to buy the adapter kit.I just grab mine by the handlebar in one hand and pull it upright and slide the jack in place with the other hand.If I'm doing any serious work on it I strap it down with the supplied ratchet straps.

Luckily for us EVO owners, the frame is slightly lower than the tranny.
