I've got about 6700 on my rear, tire that is, and I can tell I won't get the 10k some people get out of it. I guess it depends on the rider and the conditions. A lot of "gritty" type of pavement around here.

I'll be buying the SE Dunlop 180 and getting an indy to install it for me because I refuse to buy the useless "wide tire kit".

I've got 9000 on the rear so far this winter, and still have miles left. Figure when I hit 10 I'll replace it so I'll have a good springtime tire

I got 10,000 on the rear Dunlop and 18,000 on the front. I get mine from and installed by the dealer. They usually run some kind of discount. I got one in Feb 08, rear tire K591 160/70B17 priced at $170 discounted to $136, plus tube @ $21.95 and rim band @ $1.95, plus install, balance @ $72 (yes $72). I usually get one rear tire a year and a front tire every other year. The last indy I went to wanted $20 to remove, 20 to mount and balance, and 20 to reinstall. I figured for an extra $12, what the hey.

I weigh 230, but I ride conservatively, short shift a lot.

I got around 7K out of my rear I might have got a bit more out of my front but didn't want the hassle of bringing it back in for a front in a few months.I have the SE 180 and the matching SE front tire which I like allot,I did't buy the stupid wide tire kit either. Both tires an tubes, mounted and balanced, tax and old tire disposal were $530 out the door.I know, robberey but I wanted the 180 and the HD shop is the only place I could get it.

Im rolling up on ten grand on Bobs rear, I wont change it till I go on vecation this summer, so I should get 11 or 11.5 out of it, maybe 12, im hoping to catch a tire sale fore I put it on. Dealer install, I want it alghned at that time and am HOPING dealer does it beter than I, if not Ill re-do it myself. May just yank the wheel and have dealer just put on tire to save a few buck, local shop want close ti the same to pop it on so what the hell.
Front should last at least thru the season, I put on more mile than many, not as many as some. Im coming up on 4th payment, I havent figured out how many miles a month, daily comute and ride as much as possible on my days off.

Not sure what I'll get out of the SE 180.

I have never been able to understand how people get 10K+ out of a rear tire . They either weigh next to nothing or acellerate very carefully.I used to run Dunlop touring rubber on my last bike and I got closed to 10K once but the tire was completely bald and starting to show threads when I changed it.

I have 8000 on mine. The rear will be replaced soon. I may or may not do the front. The rubber on these tires are soft and riding on rough roads seems to eat them up. I always replace tires before the wear bars show. Just a safety thing to me. I have not decided if I will do it myself or have the dealer do it. [sm=confused06.gif]
