I’ve been thinking about one of these for my 07 FXDB.
Chicago Harley has a good deal on them, 74735-07.

My 4" speedo/tach combo came about a week earlier than it was supposed to.

Next is to get the nerve to hook up the SERT, and download a new map.

Doug,

what kinda wiring was involved?? If any.

mud
Mud, it is absolutely plug n play................ I was disappointed it was only a5 or 10 minute job (okay maybe 15).
I do think I spent about 2 hours trying to decide what color scheme I liked the best......... ended up with a soft green hue color.
HD was smart on this thing. You can only set the color scheme with the bike switchin the "accessories" position, so you can't go trying to change color schemes at 100 mph.
One of the guys (sorry forgot who) let me know Zanottis has the Combo speedo/tach for $100 less than the stealer. I willingly parted with the extra hundred, because these guys are real good to me (keep me poor) and all have kids to feed.

I did have to rotate the speedo back 180 for the reset button to fit into the holder in the speedo/tach. Now the button is to the lower right vs the upper left. I still need to follow up on that, though.......... maybe I was imagining ****.

My parts guy at the HD dealership was kind enough to look up the p/n's for the wiring harness and speed sensor to help ease the pain of my little experiment....... same-same for 06/07/08.

Well, I got some sun going on here and should get to ride around da block to checkout the 6th gear light. I'll let you know fer sure ifin it works.

Good to hear you finallyhave some sunShine up North.

I knew you would go with that soft institutional green.

Very popular at Lunatic Asylums, and Correctional Facilities.

As for the reset button, open it back up.
Probably will go back where it originally was.

I put mine together like that at one time,
cause that's what looked right.
On a second look, it will go into the upper recess cavity,
just lay the wires in there right,
and don't pinchum on reassembly.

my speedo is cloudy inside and i just got the dealer to finally order a new speedo about a week and a half ago, and i'm waiting for it to come in. At first i was just hoping for the 07' model that has the 6th gear light and the clock, but now i'm all excited hoping that they are getting me the new one with the tach you guys are talking about, that thing is sick as hell, i want it.

Doug, I like the look.
Thanks. I think it is a good compromise, and makes for a clean look and easy install. Very easy to see on the SGs.
