Hi, from what i've read from the H-D site, you get your choice of mid mount or forward controls. Is there a cost difference for either?

 

I have had my Fat Bob for a couple of months. There is NO difference in cost for forward controls as opposed to mid controls. Cost is the same, you just get to choose which one you want.

 

What I ran into a lot were dealers who had bobs with mid controls in stock (i wanted forwards) and rather than order a bike with forwards offered to install the forward kit for price of hardware and labor. Rather than coughing up the extra cash for something I should get standard I shopped around until I found a dealer who had or could get what I wanted without charging me extra. Dependng on where you look the dealer may stock one, the other or both in a color that may or may not agree with your tastes.

 

That's what i thought, but wanted to verify. Saw one at a dealer with a tag for 15,700 with forwards and no add-on's and he said that was msrp. MSRP should have been 15,140, it was candy red sunglo. So i figured he was jacking up the price for the forwards.
