Default How about a Wideglide Update

Well the winter months, sure help me spend money on the bike. Since thats about all you can do with the bike now. Although Jersey this winter hasn't been to bad. I've gotten out a few times to ride.

So post your upgrades thus far...

I added some black floating rotors, flamed chrome covers ( will be selling 'live to ride covers),
Had a body shop match my flame pattern from my tank onto the front fender. Came out ok.. Waiting on a chrome lower console and HD's alarm siren kit. Figured the lights flash why not make some noise. Here are some pictures

Well, winter is a great time to do those upgrades that would take away from riding time in the Spring. Here's what I've accomplished so far on my Superglide this winter:

Installation of Fat Boy Solid rear wheel
New Metler ME 880 160/80 rear tire
Chrome sprocket cover
Polished brake rotor (polished stock rotor myself)
Chrome lower belt guard
Chrome Primary
Custom derby and a/c insert
Polished front brake rotor (polished stock rotor myself)
New rear turn signals and flasher (HD)
Forward controls

Still to do:
New front tire- Metzler
Chrome cam cover

The addiction never ends.

Love the bike, looks great.

I should be picking up my Superglide custom on the weekend (yeeeeeeeeeha)

We're pretty spoilt here in Australia for weather.
I live in Canberra and the range here is 104 ' at it's hottest in summer to 16 or so at it's coldest in winter. It's a very dry place so not much rain, we get no snow (snowfields are a cople of hours away). About the worst thing we get is frost and a rare bit of black ice on the road. THere's no locking the bike away, we can ride all year round.

College looks out and maybe even she might need to go dutch for the wedding....

I'm ready to ride generally at any time. So when the weather warms up we can try and hook up. I'm down in Leonardo, which is near Sandy Hook.

CycleDrider.

Keep up the wish list!!

Yes indeed the addiction never ends.

You polished the rotors?? I just got some Flitz polish from the NY M-cycle show. I'm going to try and polish my aluminum wheels a little more. May I ask what you used to do the rotors?

Not to many upgrades...but I get a lot of "winter" rideing in being stationed in souther California. So far:

Sissy bar
Sissy bar pad
Leather saddle bags
tool pouch
clear lens covers (rear)
Clear lens covers with trim ring (front) ......... still looking for a trim ring for the head lamp
SE II pipes
Factory Cartridge down load
SE High flow A/C (removed...long story in another thread)

I have chrome switch housings, lever brackets, master cyl. cover, and levers. But I am waiting to get theflame hand grips so I can install them all at once. I want to get the flame pegs, brake pedal and shifter **** as well. Then I should be done...........yeah right!

Hey,

How do you like the V & H Big Radius Exhaust? I saw them in a mag and really like the look. I currently have the Screaming Eagle II and they are not bad, but, I like the look of the Big RAdius. I have heard the V&H short shots, are they about that loud? or louder?

They really make the Dyna look good.
