Default Advice on Best Bag for Roadtrips?

I'm shopping for the best bag to mount on my sissy bar and luggage rack on my FXDL and narrowed down my search to SAC's Super SAC bag with cool SAC and the T Bag "Convertiable". Both made of nylon and just want to know haow they hold up. I've noticed the SAC nylon bags fade over time from sun and rain.
