Lose the brow, looks much cleaner without. Add a nice custom light and maybe some trees and your done.

ORIGINAL: Priest

I just installed my new headlight. It wasn't too difficult except figuring out a couple of issues.

I ended up wrestling the wiring out of the original 'brow' headlight and threading it into the new shell (vice trying to disconnect and re-wire with the new wiring provided).

Then, I figured I'd have to drill out the lower tree, but I didn't count on having to remove the front wheel and fender to gain access. That or others are using a different (smaller or something) kind of drill. Also, the mounting bolt provided wasn't long enough so I had to go to the store and buy a longer bolt.

All in all, not too hard to do, but a little more involved than I'd counted on.

I would buy the top triple tree chrome cover if I was planning on leaving it like this, but I am getting a wide glide fork next week; so, this is just an interim solution.

Looks much better, for now!

I've heard nothing but horror stories from accutronix. 3 of my friends have been screwed out of big bucks by that company. Beware

I've always hated the brow but it does kinds grow on ya after a while. It is in keeping with the original design. I was kinda sorry when they did away with it.

I have the accutronix wide glide conversion kit and I love it, No problems what so ever and I went with the bottom mount headlight so I also say no to the brow.

Accutronix is top of the line stuff and I think your friends didn't read the instructions. You have to heat some things and freeze some things for the kit to work correctly.

Peace, Donnie

Reminds me of the painful AMF days. It's od school, but not old school enough to be cool. Dump it.

Well, IMO and IMO only, I think they are hideous and you will never catch me with one on my bike. Once again that is just my opinion.

I just took mine off and cut it up. I have to finish smoothing it out and my indicator lights will be back in action. I put on a bottom mouted headlight.
